At Jesus House Elkridge we care about and seek to nurture the total man – Spirit, Soul, & Body. We want you to know that we have a team led by the Pastor whose main responsibility is to keep watch over every member of JHE. The pastoral care team provide biblical advice, visitation, and disciple members of the JHE congregation through phone calls, lunch meetings, and other social engagements.

We go beyond the stethoscope to listen to a person’s spiritual heartbeat through offering a compassionate touch to demonstrate God’s love.
The JHE HealthCare ministry serves members of JHE and our immediate community in areas of:
JHE HealthCare Ministry team has a variety of volunteer healthcare professionals who are Disciples of Christ and utilizes their skills to share God’s love.
All healthcare professionals are welcome to volunteer in the ministry. In addition, both healthcare professional and non-healthcare professional can be involved in this ministry by providing medical supplies.
The Hospitality Ministry of Jesus House Elkridge is grounded on 1 Peter 4:9-10- “Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
The Hospitality ministry fulfills this mandate by reflecting God’s love to all who enter our doors whether you are a member or guest.
This ministry also oversees the hospitality and welfare of the Presiding Pastor and Guest ministers during and after ministrations, provide refreshment for the children’s church and on special events that take place in the church, follow up and record all information for new members and liaise with other heads of ministry groups in caring for the needs of their committed members.

The Baptism Group is dedicated to guiding new believers and those seeking to identify with God’s family through the scared act of baptism by immersion. Our purpose is to provide foundational knowledge and spiritual preparation, ensuring that each participant understands the significance of baptism and its role in their journey of faith.
Our objective is to educate and prepare individuals for baptism by immersing them in essential teachings about the Christian faith, the meaning of baptism, and its implications for their spiritual growth. Through comprehensive instruction and personal mentorship, we aim to integrate new members into the church community, fostering their development as committed disciples of Christ.
At Jesus House Elkridge, the Sunday School Group is dedicated to fostering spiritual growth and discipleship through engaging and age-appropriate Bible teaching. Our purpose is to equip individuals of all ages with a deep understanding of God’s Word, helping them to apply biblical principles in their daily lives and grow into mature, faithful followers of Christ.
Our objective is to provide a structured and nurturing environment where participants can explore and internalize the teachings of Scripture. By offering dynamic lessons, interactive discussions, and practical application, we aim to facilitate a transformative learning experience that supports the overall discipleship mission of the church. Jesus House Elkridge is a praying church. That is one mandate we know we have received from God in addition to others.
We believe that we have power with God in the place of prayer.
We believe that the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous avails much/makes tremendous power available.
In the words of Jesus, God’s house shall be called a house of prayer. He also spoke a parable to this end that ‘men ought always to pray and not faint’. It is within these two scriptures that we here at Jesus House Elkridge gets the force that propels and keeps us praying, having the confident assurance that whatsoever we ask in his name we’ll receive.
The Prayer Ministry has two (2) prayer focus-groups that address specific pray needs in various areas of life and ministry. Weekly Prayer Meeting times/schedule is as follows. The media and communications ministry here at JHE is a helps ministry that help propagate the vision of JHE through the use of technology, Audio Visual, and information communication. We also equip other ministries of the church to use digital and electronic media as worship and outreach tool.
This ministry not only provides the technical support required for our worship services, but also records various events, teachings and sermons, which are made available on CD, DVD and for viewing or streaming at our web site/social media platforms.

Opportunities to Serve:
At least one person is needed for each responsibility listed below each week:
Video Announcement Anchor: responsible for anchoring the weekly pre-recorded video announcement. We record the video announcements that will be shown at each Sunday service on Wednesday 7:00 pm EST.
Video Camera Man: The camera man work behind the camera during the weekly video announcement recording and during services.
Director: Is responsible for directing the weekly video announcement recording and video/live streaming production during worship service.
Audio Engineer: You will control the volume levels for all mics and instruments used on the stage mixed in the audio/visual control room.
Easy Worship Contributor: Located in the control room, you will work on a computer and change song lyrics during worship, scriptures during sermon, announcements etc. that are projected on the projection screens. You will ensure what is projected on the screens helps enhance people’s experience during worship.
Visual Worship Contributor: Through the use of environmental projection you will work on a computer to create an atmosphere that makes it easy for people to connect to God, enhance the experience of keeping God’s word central, and offer visual experiences that not only transform the building but also renews a person’s spirit.
Web Team: You can join the web team as a contributor to content by using your writing, editing or photography skills. We are using a “content management system” or “dashboard” that allows us to add new or update existing content to the church website without the need for coding or programming skills.
Photographer: If you have a digital camera, are familiar with sharing files online and are interested in taking pictures of people, we need you! We need pictures of church life, services and events taken on a regular basis.
Video Editor: You will help edit our video recordings with video editing tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc. There is a constant need to edit our video announcement, sermons, and short events promo videos through our website or social media.
Graphics Designer: If you are familiar with desktop publishing software like InDesign, Photoshop Elements or others free online tools that are similar for layout and image creation there are many ways your skills can help. There is a constant need to promote announcements and events through our web site, signage and other digital media.
Social Media Contributor: You will be part of the team that manages JHE Social media pages (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Google+) by posting contents and finding innovative ways to engage followers/subscribers on each platform.
Email Administrator: Responsible for drafting and sending emails for church events/activities, updating the email list and managing all our email groups.
Blogger: you will write and post contents for people to reach and get blessed.
Do you have a natural gift for sound or video equipment, graphics/visuals, photography, video directing, electronic/email communication, news anchoring, social media, blogging, & hardware/software technology? Or maybe you just have a strong desire to learn, along with a passion to serve the body of Christ?

The Men’s ministry at Jesus House Elkridge is referred to as Men of Courage. The vision of the Men’s ministry is to “develop men to be Godly leaders”. Whether at home, in ministry, marketplace, workplace, etc. Our strategy is to create an environment for men to fellowship, provide mentoring and support program for men, provide leadership empowerment training, and to foster or teach priestly leadership in our homes among others.
The men’s ministry is not about having a gathering of people with common interest, we believe that men are strategic in God’s plan and purpose that is why we work towards integrating men in and outside the church community, and provide resources/atmosphere of personal development and spiritual growth. We trust that as men become spiritually mature, they will be able to identify opportunities available to serve others and be released into the fullness of what God has planned for them.

Great Love Outstanding Women (GLOW) is the women’s ministry of Jesus House Elkridge and is dedicated to empowering and supporting women in their spiritual journey. We aim to foster a community where women can grow in faith, build meaningful relationships, and live out their God-given purpose with confidence and grace.

Leadership Career and Business (LeCaB) is a ministry in JHE that is focused on Leadership, Career, and Businesses, This ministry is for any and every one who wants to utilize their leadership skills as well as develop their potentials, advance in their careers and business.
The LeCaB ministry provides the necessary environment that facilitates networking for people in career, business and leadership. Everyone will have opportunities to share their experiences and be mentors.
